With a track of 15 kilometers long , it raised up to 4,267 meters above sea the level from where it could be appreciated in the clear days an extension of about 160 kilometers of radio. As it is seen in the photo it used a rack system similar to the one used one in Mount Washington, New Hampshire and in the Mount Pilatus Rack Railway in Switzerland. |

August 1921 - August 1831 Comparative photo taken to two locomotives, one was the most primitive and the other the newest one of that time for the transport of passengers. One was the locomotive fueled by firewood of "De Witt Clinton" and its cars in the first years of the operation of the line of the New York Central Railroad , marching next to the last machine model in service in that decade of the XX Century Limited. Photo taken in a festive act to commemorate the ninety years of operation of the railroad line. |
